Use your imagination to create your perfect paddle.

Create your own set of touch paddles using just about any conductive metal

and wire them to the model P3 circuit card.  (up to 24" away)

 

Model P3 circuit card is so small (1" W x 1.5" D x .4" H) it can fit inside most homebrew equipment.

 

Operates on 6-14 DC volts. Positive Keying of 13.8 Volts or Less.

 

Paddle separation: > .45" (To prevent capacitive paddle interaction paddles should be separated by a minimum of .45".

However, this specification will vary with paddle size.)

 

Output:

Non-touched paddle    Infinity Ohms

Touched paddle           <10 ohms

Output Response         Directly proportional to the paddle touch time.

 

Just bring two, non shielded, wires out from the rig or any electronic keyer to any two pieces of metal

and your touch paddles are ready to use (rig must have an internal keyer of course).

 

Paddles must not touch any other metal object!  

 

Can be used as a STRAIGHT KEY also. Simply use just one paddle, connect it to your "key-in" point

and tap away on your code.
