The Torpent 1 follows the great performance and history of all CW Touch Keyer touch products.
The Torpent 1 is a paddle only with no electronic keyer.
Operating off a 9V battery, with you can expect over 300 hours of operating time.
Under normal use that equates to 4-6 months or more.
The battery sits inside the clear acrylic base within a battery holder, just below
the TORPENT 1 plague and has easy access from the bottom.
The serialized collector series has a serial # engraved on a brass plaque
mounted on the top of the base.
After the purchase is made, a replacement plaque with the original serial #
and your call sign engraved on it, can be ordered at a $26.00 price.
The picture above is a prototype model with the production models looking similar.
On the rear is an On/Off rocker switch and a 3.5 mm stereo output jack.

NOTE: The paddle output FET circuit is design to switch key input of +13.8 Volts or less.
Do not attempt to use any CW Touch Keyer products with a vacuum tube transmitter
(either grid blocked or cathode keyed) without an appropriate isolated output circuit.
